Facts regarding Canford Bridge and Flood Arches.
- Canford Main bridge comprises three arches built of Portland limestone.
- The bridge was completed in 1813.
- The bridge is jointly owned by Dorset County Council and Borough of Poole and is Grade II listed.
- Canford Flood Arches comprise six arches built of Portland and Purbeck limestone and Greensand sandstone.
- The parapets are constructed of red brickwork.
- The structure was constructed around 1675.
- The footway on the west of the bridges was added in 1964.
- It is constructed of reinforced concrete planks supported on steel beams embedded in the bridges.
- The footway is also covered by the Grade II listing.
