Environmental Statement

Background Information

The Environmental Statement accompanies our application to government for a second opening bridge across the Backwater Channel, Holes Bay, Poole. The statement considers the impact of the proposed second opening bridge on the environment and community and includes, for example,

• studies into its effect on navigation,
• contamination,
• traffic,
• water quality and
• ecology.

The Environmental Statement is a large document that has been broken down in to separate PDF chapters so that they can be included on this website. Below you can view the chapters by using the links in the chapter titles.

Documentation

Copies of the application and paper copies of the Environmental Statement can be viewed at Poole Central and Hamworthy libraries as well as at the Planning reception desk at the Civic Centre.

A bound copy of the Environmental Statement and its technical annexes can be purchased for £300 by contacting our Senior Planning Officer, Nigel Jacobs, tel. 01202 633360 or alternatively an electronic copy on CD can be purchased for £30.
