First introduced in December 2002, Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) link will open in new window is the Government's annual evaluation of the quality of services provided by local government.

All Authorities are now assessed under 'The Harder Test' and are scored through star ratings 4 being the highest and 0 the lowest.

Poole's Corporate Assessment

The direction of travel, use of resources and service assessments elements are refreshed annually, the frequency of the corporate assessment is dependant on our overall performance.

The Corporate Assessment looks at how well the Council manages the business. Poole's last assessment was in December 2007 and we scored 3 out of 4. This was determined through a rigorous inspection process. In preparation for this we wrote a Self Assessment. The final report can be viewed on the Audit Commission website.
