Borough of Poole is helping young drivers to develop the attitudes and skills to help them become safer drivers for life.
Borough of Poole's Transportation Services, in partnership with the Driving Standards Agency
, is offering a £75 discount off the cost of a 'Pass Plus'
course for the first 160 people who register.
Pass Plus Poole is aimed to give newly qualified drivers experience of more challenging driving conditions, such as in and out of town, all weather, night, dual carriageway and motorway driving. The six-hour course is designed to follow within a year of a driver passing the practical driving test.
Cllr Mike White, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Transportation Services, said: "This is a great opportunity for young drivers and we are extremely pleased to be able to offer this significant discount. The Pass Plus course not only reduces the risk of being involved in a crash but can also save a young person money on their car insurance."
People wanting to apply should live, work or be educated in Poole and have been aged between 17 and 24 when they passed their test.

Funding is available for 160 places before the end of March 2008. 160 places are available for each of the following two financial years.
