Poole's Community Graffiti Kits a Success

The Borough of Poole is ordering in new stocks of graffiti removal kits after the first batch were snapped up in a matter of days.

Introduced in November, the kits allow community groups, individuals and businesses to quickly and easily deal with any graffiti that appears in their area. The kits are easy to use and contain a ready packed assortment of environmentally friendly products required for all types of graffiti removal.

The kits were introduced as part of the Borough's Pride in Poole initiative to support residents and businesses who wanted to contribute to enhancing their local areas. This community spirited action will enhance the appearance of the area and engender a wider sense of local pride.

Cllr Don Collier, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Borough of Poole, said: "The first stage of our campaign is proving to be a great success and we are extremely pleased with the level of interest shown. I would encourage everyone who cares about their local community to get involved in our fight against graffiti. We need that help if we are going to tackle the problem successfully."

"We have recently welcomed NTL, Bournemouth & Poole Youth Offending Team and Dorset Police to the campaign and are holding talks with a number of further organisations. Together we can achieve further improvements to our beautiful town."
