15 Nov 99POOLE'S GHOSTS SUPPORT CHILDREN IN NEED
The Borough of Poole's Museums and Schools Advice & Support Service are inviting everyone to support the Children in Need Appeal by celebrating the History of Poole at a Millennium Ghosts' Party on 26-27 November 1999.Visitors will be taken back on a journey through time to meet a variety of historic characters who will beg for money to help the poor and needy children of their time.
The event will take place in the old Medieval town house Scaplen's Court in the Lower High Street, Poole which has many tales to tell about the past 1000 years of Poole's dynamic history.
A riotous time is guaranteed as people enjoy learning and finding out about our local history and at the same time helping today's Children in Need.
Tours of the building lasting 1¾ hours are scheduled as follows:
Friday 26 November: 6.30 pm, 6.45 pm, 7.00 pm and 7.15pm.
Saturday 27 November: 2.00 pm, 2.30 pm, 3.00 pm, 3.30 pm, 4.00pm and 4.30 pm.
This is a ticket only event due to the restrictions of the historic building. TICKETS ARE FREE but donations will be eagerly sought for Children in Need.
