We have just added Oxford Reference and six other great resources to help you with your homework - you can see them on our Online Resources page.

Oxford Reference
Oxford reference. From subject reference, quotation, and language dictionaries in the Oxford Quick Reference collection, to award winning Oxford Companions and Encyclopedias, in the Oxford Reference Library you can cross-search Oxford’s trusted reference content at the click of a button.

Britannica Junior logo
Britannica Online Junior  is for 5 to 11 year olds. If you are in a library, please use this link

Britannica Student logo
Britannica Online Student is for 11 year olds and upwards. If you are in a library, please use this link.

The Credo Reference Logo
Credo Reference is a collection of over 600 information books on all sorts of subjects. This is recommended for 11 year olds and upwards.

You can go straight into these sites if you are in a library, but if you are at home the site will ask for your library card number.


The cyberLibrary Logo
CyberLibrary is a website which lists the best websites on a variety of subjects. It has a collection of homework websites. You can either browse by subject or choose from the A -Z list.

All our libraries now have Homework Clubs:

Branksome Library - Monday and Friday 3:45 to 4:45pm
Broadstone Library - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3:00 to 4:30pm
Canford Cliffs Library - Monday 4:30 to 5:30pm
Canford Heath Library - Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3:00 to 4:30pm
Creekmoor Library - Monday 4:30 to 5:30pm
Hamworthy Library - Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3:00 to 4:30pm
Oakdale Library - Monday 4:30 to 5:30pm
Parkstone Library - Mondays 3:30 to 4:45pm
Poole Central Library - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3:30 to 5:00pm
Rossmore Library - Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3:00 to 4:30pm

 Homework Clubs provide:

  • Free use of the computers and Internet access

  • Help so you can find information

  • Free photocopies/print-outs for your homework

  • Space to do your homework

  • Sessions that are free and no need to book. Stay as long as you like.

  • What age are the Homework Clubs for?
     Homework Clubs are open to all children, but specifically for children aged 8-14 years old.
