English Housing Survey
The Department of Communities and Local Government is launching the English Housing Survey on the 31st March 2008 and interviewers and surveyors will be working in Poole.
The survey comprises an initial interview with the householder to ask about their housing circumstances and views on their home and neighbourhood. About half those interviewed will then be selected to go on and receive a physical inspection of the interior and exterior of the property by a professional surveyor to collect information on its condition and energy efficiency. Confidentiality and anonymity are guaranteed to those taking part.
The survey is being administered by the Office for National Statistics as part of their wider Continuous Population Survey The survey will be the Department's primary source of information on people's changing housing circumstances and the condition and energy efficiency of the nation's housing. Fieldwork will run continuously throughout the year and a number of householders of all tenures in Poole will be invited to take part.
