Planning & Regeneration Services shapes the places where people live and work in the Borough of Poole. 

Within this unit the Planning Policy and Implementation team have responsibility for the longer term planning of the area through regional planning, production of the Local Development Framework and supporting the implementation of planning policy.

The Development Team including business support staff handle all applications for planning permission . Other sections include the enforcement of planning law, work on protecting trees, urban design, conservation notices and environmental improvement initiatives. Planning & Regeneration Serivces receive in excess of 2,200 planning applications and around 700 applications for work on protected trees every year.
