Children and Young People's Services - Strategy, Quality and Improvement

Our aim is to work with all other agencies, schools and partners in Children and Young People's Services to lead and co-ordinate strategic planning, in order to improve outcomes for all children and young people in Poole. We do this through support for the Children's Trust and production of the Children and Young People's Plan, commissioning of high quality services and performance management. We provide schools and early years settings with advice and support to enable them to improve further and to raise pupils' standards of achievement through quality learning in the early years through to sixth form. We support school Governors and leaders of all children's services to evaluate provision and sometimes intervene on behalf of the Children's Trust to ensure children are not failed by a service.  We also provide quality assurance of planning for children and young people in need of protection and in care and manage complaints for all of Children's Services.
